How does a Print-at-Home Mystery Case Work?

From purchase to “case closed” in three simple steps. Play on a tablet or laptop, or print at home.

1

Choose Your Case

Browse our collection and pick a mystery that fits your group size, occasion, and preferred difficulty level. Each case listing includes everything you need to know.

2

Open or Print

After purchase, instantly download your PDF files. Open the Case File on a tablet, laptop or TV, or print it at home on standard paper (colour looks great, black and white works too). Either way you can start in minutes.

3

Solve the Mystery

Gather your detectives, share the evidence, and dive in. Work together to connect the clues, rule out suspects, and name the culprit.

Common Questions

What do I need to play?
A tablet, laptop or TV to read the Case File, or a printer and paper if you prefer. Standard letter or A4 size works perfectly. No cutting, folding or envelopes, and no apps. A pen and paper for notes helps either way.

Can I play without printing?
Yes. Open the Case File on a tablet or laptop and read it page by page. The Hints and Solution are separate files, so nothing gets spoiled while you scroll. For a group, put the Case File on a TV or pass a tablet round.

How long does a case take?
Most cases take 1-3 hours depending on difficulty and group size. Each listing shows the estimated duration.

Can I play solo?
Yes. Some cases are written for any number of players, including one, and many group cases can also be enjoyed alone if you love puzzles. Check the player count on each case.

Is color printing required?
No. Color enhances printed evidence, but all cases are designed to be fully playable in black and white, or on screen.
